The North American tradition of spooky costumes and dolcetto – scherzetto on October 31 is gaining popularity in Italy.Costumed kids in piazzas, carved pumpkins and delicious halloween foods can be seen in Rome. Though it is not a official holiday in Italy. While the main holidays are still All Saints’ Day on November 1.

Halloween decorations and costumes can be found in many stores.

I don’t celebrate halloween but I love halloween decorations, costumes and movies. If you want to some fun, you can wear a costume and walk around the city or attend a halloween dinner.

I personally prefer stay at home. I believe that halloween night is perfect opportunity to watch classic halloween movies.

You can gather with your friends or family, prepare delicious dinner and snacks and watch movies all night long.

Today I would like to share halloween movies to watch.

The Haunted Mansion

It is a fantasy comedy horror film based on Walt Disney’s theme park attraction of the same name. It stars Eddie Murphy, Jennifer Tilly, Marsha Thomason, Nathaniel Parker and Wallace Shawn.

Scream Movie Series

The Scream is a serious of cult horror films. The series stars Courteney Cox, David Arquette and Neve Campbell.

Hocus Pocus

It is a comedy film and nice to watch with a family. The films stars are Sarah Jessica Parker, Bette Midler and Kathy Najimy.

The film is about trio of witches who are inadvertenly resurrected by a teenage boy in Salem, Massachusetts on October 31, Halloween Night.

Double Double Toil

It is a Halloween children film. It stars Ashley and Mary Kate Olsen. The film’s title is part of the line spoken by the three witches in Macbeth (Act Iv, Scene I)

Practical Magic

It is a fantasy comedy film. The stars are Nicole Kidman, Sandra Bullock and Aidan Quinn.

Kidman and Bullock are sisters from a Massachusetts who have always known they were different from other people – they are witches. They use their magical powers to spells for love.

The Craft

It is a supernatural horroe movie. The film is about group of four teenage girls who pursue witchcraft and use it for their own gain.

Fantasy Island

It is a supernatural horror movie. The film is about a five people who visit a luxurious but remote tropical island but holiday turn into nightmare. The visitors have to solve the island’s mystery in dor to save their lives.

E.T. The Extra Terrestrial

It is a science fiction film directed and produced by Steven Spielberg. The film is about an alien who needs to come back home and he meets the kids wh help him get there.

The Sixth Sense

It is a psychological thriller film. The film is about a boy who is able to see and talk to dead. It stars Bruce Wills.

The Witches of Eastwick

It is a dark fantasy comedy film and staring Jack Nicholson alongside Michelle Pfeiffer, Cher and Ssan Sarandon.

The film is about a three single women who have their wishes granted at a cost when a mysterious man enters their lives.

Death Becomes Her

It is a black comedy film and stars Bruce Willis, Meryl Streep and Goldie Hown. The film focuses on a pair of rivals who drink magic potion for a eternal youth but experience bad side effects when they physically die, becoming walking corpses.

Sleepy Hollow

It is a gothic horror film. It stars Christina Ricci and Johnny Depp. The film focuses on police who sent from New York City to investigate a series of murders in the village Sleepy Hollow.

Twitches

It is a Disney Chanel movie. The film is about twin girls who are seprated at birth and adopted. On their 21st birthday, the girls run into each other and realize that not only are they twins but they are also princesses from another dimension. They have magic powers and they will need to practive in order to save their kingdom.
