In summer time, I prefer to drink something cold. Ice tea, granita (semi frozen desert made from water, sugar and various flavorings) and ice coffee are my favorite ones. Until last year, I would gladly drink everyday but this year, I changed my lifestyle and I don’t eat or drink sugar.
All these amazing cold beverages seem innocent. In sticky hot weather we lose a lot of water and most of us prefer something cold and sweet to drink.
According to doctors, these ‘innocent beverages’ are the ones make us gain weight.
These may not be healthy but it doesn’t mean that we should quit to drink these delicious beverages. There are an amazing recipes and fresh ingredients so we can do our beverage at home.
Especially in lockdown, I had plenty of time to try new recipes and I added really delicious recipes into my personal cookbook. Sometimes, I change some ingridients and try new flavours.
One of the best way to keep healthy is drinking plenty of water during the day. I hear from a lot of people they struggle drink water. Healthy iced tea can keep you hydrate.
Today, I would like to share one of my favorite ice tea recipe. It is very easy to prepare and it is less than 50 calories. You can drink it without hesitate to gain weight.
The best part of these recipe is very easy to make it.
½ Lemon sliced
3 Cups Hot water
6 Fresh Basil Leaves
2 Green Tea Bags
Add the fresh basil leaves, lemon slices and green tea bags to a pitcher. Pour hot water into the pitvher and allow to steep for 15 minutes. Remove the tea bags and place into the fridge for 3-4 hours.
