Hello Angels,
Istanbul is one of the most popular destination in the world. From culture to food, Istanbul possible has everything for tourists. Even though it is a modern city, there are many misperceptions in people’s mind. If you want to visit Istanbul, you probably have questions in your mind about what to wear in Istanbul.
I can easily say that there is no dress code in Istanbul. Turkey is a secular country and all people have the fredom of wearing what they want. You can wear anything you want. There are exceptions for religious places like mosques. All men and women should dress modetly while in the mosque. You can see dress for mosques below.
-
Arms and legs should be covered
-
No shorts
-
No short skirts
-
You mus leave your shoes when you enter the mosque.
Istanbul experienced all four seasons. You only need to consider the weather. In winter time, you will experience cold temperature and occasional snowfall and rain.
I believe that planning a trip is one of the best thing but preparing a luggage is one of the stresful thing especially in winter time (because winter clothes take a lot place in luggage).
You can pack;
-
Coats
-
Sweaters
-
Hats, scarves, gloves
-
Trousers
-
Jeans
-
Jumper dresses
-
Leggings
-
Skirts
-
Boots
-
Rain boots
You should be careful about the footwear you pack. Because most tourist places like palaces museums require a lot of walking .
Istanbul has popular nightlife. There are many elegant restaurants and night clubs. You need to follow a dress code to enter some restaurants and nightclubs. I don’t recommend you to visit these places when you wear sneakers or sweatshirt. You can wear stylish top with elegant trousers, elegant dress or chic top with skirt. High heels are perfect footwear to complete your look but if you don’t feel comfortable in heels, you can opt flat but elegant shoes.
