Getting in shape and obtain a healthy lifestyle are not easy. It requires an discipline and patience. You can’t change your eating habit and lifestyle in one day.

Until two years ago, I didn’t have a very healty eating habits. I wasn’t eating junk food and was eating vegetables but other than that I was using a lot of sugar and I was eating processed food. I wasn’t overweight because I had always an active lifestyle.

I live in Rome and I really enjoy walking. I live in Rome more then seven years but I still discover new things. Even I have an article about Losing Weight in Rome ( You can read it from here)

Two years ago, I decided to change my eating habits. I stopped eating processed food, I don’t use sugar ( I don’t even have sugar in my house) and started to drink a lot of water. First two weeks were very difficult but later my new eating habits became my lifestyle. Of course sometimes I eat an ice cream or biscuits. Especially in Italy, It is a little bit difficult to resist to an ice cream 🙂

I have acquired healthy habits so don’t worry, you can do that too.

Here are my tips to stay in shape

Walk every day and to everywhere

This might seem a simple advice but sometimes simplity is key. Make walking part of your daily routine. Pick a route with trees or beautiful historical attractions and walk everyday.

Sleeping Schedule

Don’t underestimate power of sleep. Getting a solid amount of sleep every night has been linked to higher levels of mental activity and productivity.

No sugar

It was the most difficult one for me, there was no way to drink coffee and tea without sugar. The best way to stick to this habit is starting now and never look back.

Cook

Cooking for yourself very enjoyable activity and you can choose the best ingredients for yourself. There are many simple recipes on Instagram and Youtube. You can try new recipes every week.

Plank

The plank is very popular right now and you can do anywhere. It tightens core muscles and much more effective than crunches. Try to hold for at least 30 seconds.

Drink More Water

Water has many benefits. Not drinking enough water leads physical fatigue and inflammation. According to some researhes, drinking more water help you lose weight.

Exercise

There are so many people who hate to do exercise but I am sure that there is a physical activity for everyone. For example, I am not a big fan of Yoga but I love pilates so much. Try all physical actives and decide which is a mainstay in your life. In the long run, you will see the results and you will be grateful for that.
