Villa Borghese is the third largest public park in Rome. It contains a number of buldings, museums ( Galleria Borghese) and attractions.
The park is so large that you probably won’t get too crowded. It depends on what you plan to do there. Most of the crowds are centralized around the popular attractions.
A lot of people visit Villa Borghese for relax, but others enjoy physical activies such as biking. There is a bike rental service.
Many of the attractions in this park are about art but there are several attractions for friends and family such as Bioparco di Roma and playground.
There is a historic temple near the Villa Borghese playground., Tempio di Esculapio. It is surrounded by a small lake wihich you can travel across with small boat. There is a boat rental service nearby at Laghetto di Villa Borghese and you can rent it there.
If you are art lover, Villa Borghese is the right place for you. There are a lot of museums to visit. One of the popular attraction is Borghese Gallery which is located at the Southeast end of the park.
It is very popular because there are a lot artwork from famous artists such as Bernini, Raphael, Caravaggio and more.
Villa Medici is also very popular. It is also known as the French Academy which features various collections of artwork.
It is located on the Southern end of Villa Borghese which is very close to the Spanish Steps.
There is also Globe Theatre which is based on Shakespeare’s Globe Theathre in London. It provides a lot of great theatrical perfomances.
This theatre is only open in summer time. If you are visiting during the summer, you can drop by and buy a ticket.
